This programme has been developed in partnership between the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (RPSGB) and the NHS Clinical Governance Support Team (NCGST). It is intended to provide a basic level introduction to Clinical Governance and the components within it as they relate to Community pharmacy and the new community pharmacy contract. The programme consists of seven interactive modules which cover the range of requirements placed on pharmacy contractors through the new contract In England and Wales, as well as a number of issues highlighted through recent public inquiries e.g. Shipman. You can pick and choose the modules most appropriate to your learning needs The modules have been developed by a range of partner organisations: Leicester Primary Care Audit Group (PCAG), Client Focused Evaluations Programme (CFEP), National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA), National Pharmacy Association (NPA), Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee (PSNC), National Prescribing Centre (NPC) and the Faculty of Prescribing and Medicines Management (FPMM). The Centre for Postgraduate Pharmacy Education (CPPE), the Welsh Centre for Postgraduate Pharmacy Education (WCPPE) and NHS Education for Scotland (NES) have been involved in the refinement of the content of these modules.
